WAIHEKE WINERY - IN PROGRESS
Raised beds
This fabulous new Cellar Door at Soho Wines had a few decorative garden beds that needed some edging and hardy coastal plants.
The clients brief was 'colour'.
Detailing
Black powder coated steel curved edging from Tiny Anvil not only worked well with the signage and branding, it aided in containing the soil in the elevated beds (elevation was key here due to the nature of the heavy clay).
The edging also defined the pathway and will keep the pea shingle within the path area.

Plant palette 'A'
As per the brief which was colour, the plants also needed to be tolerant of coastal conditions.
Plant palette 'B'
The Australian 'Westringia' range was a go to for hardy shrubs that can handle drought. As were Lavender and Rosemary. Agapanthe 'Blue Finn' which is the only agapanthe you can plant in the Auckland region, will grow into neat mounds lining the curved pathway.
